These Terms and Conditions apply to all individuals and organisations participating in the coGIS testing phase. By using the test version of coGIS, you agree to the following:
coGIS is currently provided as a test version. The software is under active development and may contain errors, incomplete features, or performance limitations. All users agree to use the system on a trial basis only and acknowledge that the tool is not yet ready for operational deployment.
During the testing phase, all users and organisations must continue operating their existing mapping and coordination systems. coGIS must not be used as the sole source of operational information. It is a complementary tool intended for evaluation, not a replacement for official or primary systems.
All map layers, datasets, and visual information provided in coGIS come from a combination of internal contributions, publicly accessible sources, and partner inputs. coGIS does not verify or certify the accuracy or completeness of any contributed data. Users remain responsible for cross-checking all information before relying on it.
The backend servers for the testing environment may be hosted in locations outside the Gaza Strip and may be operated by partner organisations supporting the development. By participating in the testing phase, you consent to the storage and processing of non-sensitive usage data on these servers. No sensitive or personally identifiable data should be uploaded to coGIS during testing.
coGIS and its supporting organisations assume no liability for:
All use of the platform during the testing phase is strictly at the user’s own risk.
While reasonable technical safeguards are applied, the test environment does not guarantee full information security. Users should not upload classified, personal, or operationally sensitive material. Each participating organisation is responsible for ensuring its own internal data protection standards are followed.
This service is strictly for humanitarian purposes, and no user should use the app for conflict actor mapping. Any misuse will constitute grounds for the account being banned.
Test accounts are temporary and will remain valid only until the end of the testing phase. Access may be revoked or modified at any time as part of the evaluation process. Sharing accounts or sharing Data outside of the users organization is strictly prohibited. Any breach will result in an immediate suspension of the account.
Users agree to provide feedback through the official feedback form and, if requested, to participate in short interviews with the development team. Feedback will be used exclusively for improving the system. All changes will be communicated to users during the update process.
These Terms and Conditions may be updated as the testing process evolves. Continued use of the test version constitutes acceptance of any updated terms.
CADUS and the coGIS development team reserve the right to suspend or terminate testing access at any time if continued use is assessed to pose legal, security, or reputational risks.
